Answer:
In the competitive world of today’s, life in cities is certainly not “a bed of roses”. It is filled with constant worries and burden accompanying the everyday tasks. Life of people has become very busy and tiring. The hunger to grow and prosper among people and get ahead of others in life is so rampant. They are relentlessly engaging themselves in hard labour, mental as well as physical to clinch the heights of success. It is increasingly resulting into their spending most part of their lives working indoors. They are so engrossed in their career advancement that they are ignoring the mental, physical, emotional as well as the psychological needs of the body. In such a world, more and more cases of depression and other psychotic illness are reported.

Nature is a source of joy but the city dwellers are completely deprived of all such joys due to their separation from nature. In the poem “The Lake Isle of Innisfree” the poet too desires for the peace and tranquility of Innisfree, a place where he spent a lot of time as a boy. He wants to go there, get close to the nature in a hope to breakfree from the moribund, dull and boring city life. He wants to stay there in a small cabin made of clay and wattles, plant rows of beans and have a hive for the honeybee. All such beautiful things of nature confer on him peace.
