Scholarship Registration: Registration of the National Scholarship Portal may seem a daunting job for most students as any incorrect information or inconsistency can result in the request being denied. Because of the errors that students make while registering, thousands of applications for scholarships are rejected each year. The National Scholarship Portal enrollment allows the applicant to be vigilant and sensitive to what they are carrying out as the initial step for the scholarship application.  Most of the students’ questions apply to the allocation of grants, the application process, and required documentation.

How to Register for Scholarship Step-wise Procedure?

Registration of the National Scholarship Portal involves students providing basic information such as state of residence, category of scholarship, student name, date of birth, bank details, identification details (either Aadhaar number or bank account number), etc. Once you are informed of the eligible scholarships and their deadlines, you can go on to enroll on the website. The following is a step-wise description of the registration and application of the national scholarship portal to facilitate the process for you.

  • Visit the National Portal of Scholarships.
  • Click to register on New Registration.’
  • Carefully read all the instructions and press’ Start.’
  • Provide all the details required.
  • Click on the button ‘ Register.’
  • The applicants must submit their registered mobile number with the student user ID and password (Note: keep it safe for future references).

Scholarship Registration Application Process

  • Once you have registered successfully, you need to press the’ Login ‘ button to start the request for the scholarship.
  • Enter the ID and password of your request to sign in.
  • On the recorded mobile number, you can obtain an OTP.
  • Test the OTP and change the password.
  • You will be directed to the student dashboard once you have changed the password.
  • To begin the process, press the’ Process Form’ button.
  • Provide enrollment, educational and basic facts, and press “save” and “continue.”
  • You have to include an email, scheme info, and upload the document you want.
  • Eventually, by pressing the “Send” button, send the request.

Documents Required for Scholarship Registration

The list of documentation for each scholarship to be submitted by the students can differ. Nevertheless, some of the specific documentation that an applicant must hold in the custody of both fresh & replacement scholarships during the National Scholarship Portal Registration are as follows:

  • Applicant Image (Mandatory)
  • Institution Verification Form (Mandatory)
  • Income Certificate: Income Certificate provided by the Competent Authority in the State / UT Government (Mandatory)
  • Student Declaration (Mandate)
  • Marksheet: In the case of Fresh: Self-tested Certification of  Present Qualifying Exam / Board Marksheet ‘ as filled in the Form (Mandatory)

In the case of Renewal

  • Self-tested Certificate of Previous Year/Last Test Marksheet (for the same/continuous course) as filled in the Form (Mandatory)
  • Fee Receipt for Current Course Year (Mandatory)
  • Proof of Bank Account in the name of Student (Mandatory)
  • Aadhaar card (Mandatory)
  • Domicile or resident certificate (Mandatory)

FAQ’s On Scholarship Registration

Question 1.
Is it possible to edit the already saved information?

Answer:
Yes, all details can be edited except for “personal details” when you register on the NSP. Once the document is eventually sent, though, it can be further modified.

Question 2.
What should a student do if his / her Application ID is forgotten?

Answer:
The temporary/permanent ID recollection process is to visit the student’s login page and click on “forgotten details of the registration.” Students must then enter the basic fields and click on “Register details.”

Question 3.
What should a student do if the drop-down list does not find the name of his / her institute?

Answer:
The claimant must notify the Institute directly and inform the nodal officer of the State where the Institute is based. If the institution was qualified, it would be placed in the registry by the state government and then the claimant can submit.

Question 4.
How should a student check online the status of their application?

Answer:
In order to enter the user dashboard, the applicant can go to the login page and select “Student login.” Instead, to verify the approval status, he/she must click on the “Verify your progress” icon.
