OUAT Application Form: Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology or OUAT is an exam mainly for students to get admission in the various universities and colleges in the state.  The OUAT application form is for the examination for students to get tickets in the field of their choice, which the University offers. There are fields like agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, animal engineering, and many more such courses. OUAT is held every year at the university level.

The students who qualify in the examination get admission in the colleges and universities. When you are applying for the OUAT examination, you should look at the eligibility criteria and the qualifications required. If you want to appear for the exam, you need to fill the form online. OUAT Application Form – Important Dates

OUAT is an examination for three levels- Undergraduate, Post Graduate, and Ph.D. level. There are six different undergraduate programs and postgraduate programs offered. Along with these twelve courses, other Ph.D. courses are provided application forms for the OUAT examination are available from 20th February 2020. After this date, the applications must be submitted online at the official website, http://www.ouat.nic.in/profile. Here are some of the critical times that you need to remember.

Eligibility Criteria for OUAT Application Form

Every course has a different eligibility criteria and you have to fulfill the respective criterias for you to apply for the course. Here are the main eligibility criterias required for you to apply for the OUAT examination.

Criteria Eligibility
General criteria A person is eligible for the exam if he fulfills these two criterias
  • Nationality- the candidate should be an Indian national domicile of the state of Orissa
  • Age- the candidate should have completed 17 years of age.
B.Sc. (Hons)/ Agriculture/Forestry/ Horticulture A candidate can apply for these B.Sc. courses if they fulfill these criterias
  • Candidates should have passed 10+2 from a science combination from a recognised board.
  • Candidates must have passes with a minimum of 50% in both 10+2 examinations. (40% for SC/ST/PWD)
  • The candidate must have passed the examination 10+2 with Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, or Biology.
B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering) A candidate must fulfill these criterias for applying for this course
  • A candidate must have passed the 10+2 examinations from a recognised board.
  • A candidate must have passed with a minimum percentage of 50. (40% for SC/ST/PWD)
  • A candidate must have passed 10+2 with a combination of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects.
For PG programmes
  • For an M.Sc. Agriculture- a candidate must have a B.Sc Agriculture or B.Sc.Horticulture from a recognized board or University
  • For an M.Sc Forestry- a candidate must have passed a B.Sc. Forestry from affiliated college or University.
  • For an M.Tech Agriculture Engineering- a candidate must have a B.Sc. Agriculture Engineering and technology or a B.Tech Agriculture engineering from a university or an affiliated college.

Requirements for OUAT Application Form

There are specific requirements that you need to follow when you are filling the application form

  • A candidate who wants to appear for the OUAT examination must fill the application form online.
  • The candidates can start applying for the OUAT examination from 20th February 2020.
  • The candidate must upload a passport size color photograph in the format that’s on the form.
  • The candidate must follow the steps for filling the application form correctly- registration, filling details, payment of the application fee, and uploading the images and documents.
  • Read and go through the application form twice before submitting, checking all the details because you can’t make modifications after the submission.
  • The candidates who wish to appear for the examination shoudk fill the form before the deadline.For further steps in the procedure of the OUAT application form, you must take a print out of the application form.

Application Fees for OUAT Application Form

The candidate who wants to appear for the OUAT examination should pay an amount of ₹1400 for the application form for the review.

Mode of Payment- the candidate, can pay for the application form for the OUAT examination through debit card, credit card, and online banking from any bank.

OUAT Examination Paper Pattern

  • The pattern of the OUAT examination paper is simple and easy to understand.
  • The medium of the examination will be in the English language.
  • The OUAT examination will be in the offline mode.
  • The duration of the OUAT examination is going to be 2 hours.
  • The questions in the paper will be multiple-choice questions.
  • The total marks that a candidate will be writing the exam will be for 200 marks.
  • For every right answer, the candidate will be one mark.
  • The candidate will not face any negative marking for any wrong answer in the paper.

Documents Required for Filling OUAT Application Form ‘B’

The candidate must have the following documents to submit the application form ‘B successfully’. When you open the application form ‘B,’ it will already have information that you filled earlier. The candidate must fill the educational qualifications and categories.  Here are the documents that you require for the application form’:

  • Marks sheet of 10th standard
  • Certificate of 10th as proof of age
  • Marks sheet of 10+2 th
  • Certificate of 10+2
  • SC/ ST/ Green card / Handicapped certificate for their respective candidates.
  • Residential certificate of the candidate ( except for students who studied Odia language in 10th)
  • Aadhar Card
  • Certificate of OUAT employee from the head of the Institute.
  • Certificate of permanent residence for candidates the Western part of Orissa.
  • For NRI candidates: passport and visa or durable residential proof (electricity bill, water bill, etc.) of the sponsor.
