What are the Eligibility Criteria for MET Application 2020?

For 2020, Manipal University is offering 16 different engineering courses.  However, there are few eligible criteria that candidates need to meet who wish to join Manipal University and appear for its entrance exam. Read the table below to know more about the eligibility criteria of MET 2020.

  1. Candidate must pass 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and English as compulsory subjects along with Biology/Chemistry/Biotechnology and other optional subjects, from a recognized Board.
  2. Candidate must scored at least 50% marks in aggregate.

How to fill MET Application Form 2020?

To fill out the MET 2020 application form includes a lot of step. But, the first step includes visiting the website and choosing the desired course and then filling the MET 2020 application form.  

1st Step: Registration: 

  1. Before, a candidate even starts to fill the application, they have to candidate has to register at https://apply.manipal.edu and generate login credentials.  

Note: A one-time registration is required for every candidate even if they are applying for multiple courses.

  1. To register, candidates should use active email id and phone number.
  2. Then, create a password with all the respective measures as required.
  3. Next, select a program, stream, and then the course.
  4. After successfully registering, candidates will receive an SMS to confirm their MET registration.

Note: 

  • All candidates are advised to save the SMS for future reference. 
  • Also, it will be impossible to change the registered email ID, Mobile Number or the Password in future. So, be careful when you enter the details to register.
  • Remember, all future communications will be done via the registered mobile number or Email ID.   

2nd Step: Login and Filling the Manipal Application Form

  1. After successfully completing the Manipal (MET) registration process, candidate should log in with the registered email ID/ Mobile number and password.
  2. In case, if candidates forget the password, he/she can click on the ‘forget password’ tab and then set a new password for the registered email ID or mobile number.

3rd Step: Selecting category

Here’s the list of all the categories listed:

  1. General Category consists of Indian Nationals, Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders and Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) 
  2. Foreign/International: This category is applicable for candidates of foreign nationality, Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders and Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI).
  3. NRI Category: This category is applicable for candidates with NRI status sponsored by Parents

4th Step: Personal Details

Candidates will have to feed in all the personal details asked in the MET 2020 application form. The details includes candidate’s full name, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality, Place of Birth, Email ID, Mobile number, Photo, Signature, etc.

5th Step: Course Selection

To apply, candidates need to select the program they are interested in.

7th Step:  Uploading Documents

  1. Candidates need to upload scanned documents on the website which must be in PDF format with a maximum of 1 MB size. 
  2. After candidates have uploaded all the documents, then, click on ‘submit document’.
  3. After uploading the documents, Manipal University will verify and accordingly change the status of documents.

Note: If a candidate document changes to rejected, they can re-upload the document before the last date.
