KEAM Application Form: KEAM refers to the Kerala Engineering, Architectural and Medical courses, offered by the Government of Kerala, via the Office of the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, who conducts the KEAM Entrance Examinations annually. These are centralised entrance tests for professional college courses in colleges in Kerala. Fill up the KEAM application form if you wish to be part of any of these courses.

The KEAM application form is available online. The various courses under KEAM are veterinary sciences, MBBS, bachelor’s in pharmacy, engineering and architecture. KEAM also offers courses in alternative medicine such as Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, and many similar others.

Eligibility Criteria for KEAM Application Form

Different courses at KEAM all have different eligibility criteria depending on which course you would like to select. Here is the detailed information for eligibility criteria for KEAM application form. The main criteria common to all courses is that the candidate applying must be a citizen of India.

Documents Required for KEAM Application Form

Here is a list of the documents necessary for the KEAM application form. Please note that the documents required are standard for all courses. However, there are a few additional documents you need to submit if you are applying for medical courses.

  • Scanned photograph
  • Scanned signature
  • Certificates:
    • Proof of nativity for candidates from Kerala itself (Keralites)
    • SSLC or equivalent certificate (this acts as age proof)
    • Candidates in the final year of 10+2 have to submit a certificate stating such, signed by the head of that institution
    • Marksheet for the qualifying exam
    • Non-Creamy Layer certificate from concerned Village Officer for reservation
    • Inter-caste marriage certificate (if concerned)
    • Community certificate for SC/ST candidates

Additional documents for medical entrance candidates:

  • Marksheet for qualifying education with Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  • NATA scores
  • NEET-UG scores

There are certain specifications that you need to adhere to when submitting documents for your application. Here are the accepted norms of submission:

  • Photograph
    • Should be a colour photograph with a clear, light or white background
    • Should have the full face and shoulder clearly visible in the photo
    • No headgear or face accessories allowed in the photo and it will be rejected
    • It should be 150×200 pixels
  • Signature
    • Should be in black or blue ink on a plain white sheet
    • Size of the signature should be 150×100 pixels
  • Certificates
    • Scanned copies of original documents must be uploaded, in colour
    • Documents should be authentic, legible and clearly readable
    • The same document can be made use of twice, if need be.

KEAM Application Process – Step by Step Guide

Sign on here to begin your process for application submission to KEAM. Here is what to expect before you do so.

  • When you arrive at the link, there will be a button there which says “KEAM 2020 – online application.” Click on it to register yourself for online application.
  • Input your name, contact number, date of birth, email address, etc. Once you fill in these details, enter the password you’d like to keep for you login ID. Confirm and verify your login ID. Thence, your registration is complete. Now, click on “proceed to your application.”
  • Fill in the course details of your choice, along with your choice for the exam city from the list given in the form.
  • Now, enter your basic details: gender, nationality, parents’ details, etc. The step after this is to fill in your educational qualifications – where you studied, which subjects, etc.
  • After all the necessary details on the portal are filled, pay the application fee.
    • Rs700/300 for General/SC, respectively, for Engineering or B.Pharm or both
    • Rs500/200 for General/SC respectively, for Medical or Architecture or both
    • Rs900/400 for General/SC respectively, for all of the above
    • Note: Additional fee of Rs12000 if your test city is Dubai.
  • The next step is to upload the necessary documents, i.e. the photograph, signature and all required certificates. Then your application is complete.
  • Finally, be sure to take a printout of the completed KEAM application form. There is no mandatory requirement for the same, but it is good to have this printout with you, just in case you need it for reference.

Important Things to Know While Filling KEAM Application Form

You must remember to fill in all your details correctly in your KEAM application form, and also upload all the correct documents. However, there is an option to make some changes to your application. Please do not misuse this feature! More important things to know about the KEAM application form is that it you can only apply online, via the official website https://cee.kerala.gov.in/keamonline2020/public/login – offline applications are not available.
