This story is about a little snail, Sunu-sunu. He was playing with the ants in a garden. Suddenly, there was a loud sound of lightning. The ants hid themselves under a flower pot. The snail hid inside his shell. Suddenly there started a storm and ants asked Sunu-sunu to go back to his mother. While the storm was blowing on, Sunusunu kept on walking and reached to his mother. He told her all the experiences that he got on the way.

यह एक छोटे घोंघे सुनू-सुनू की कहानी है। वह चींटियों के साथ बगीचे में खेल रहा था। तभी वहाँ बिजली कड़कने की आवाज़ आई। चींटियों ने अपने आप को एक गमले के नीचे छिपा लिया तथा घोंघा अपनी खोल के अंदर छिप गया। अचानक आँधी चलने लगी। चींटियों ने सुनू-सुनू को वापस अपनी माँ के पास जाने को कहा। आँधी के बीच चलते हुए सुनू-सुनू अपनी माँ के पास पहुँच गया। रास्ते में हुए सभी अनुभवों को उसने अपनी माँ को सुनाया।

Hindi Translation Of The Story
(Sunu-Sunu, the snail is playing
with his friends, the ants, Suddenly
there is a storm. He hurries’ to his
mother and tells her all he saw and heard.)

(सुनू-सुनू नामक एक घोंघा अपनी दोस्त चींटियों के
साथ खेल रहा है। तभी अचानक आँधी आ जाती है। वह
भागता हुआ अपनी माँ के पास पहुँचता है तथा जो उसने
देखा तथा सूना है, उनके बारे में बताता है।)

Word-Meanings : Snail ( स्नेल ) – a small soft creature with a hard round shell, घोंघा। Storm ( स्टॉर्म )—bad weather with strong winds and rain, तूफान्।। Hurries ( हरिज़ )—rans in a speed, भागना।

1. Sunu-Sunu, the snail, was visiting
his friends, the ants. They climbed
all over him. Hee! Hee! Hee! They
climbed under him. Hee! Hee! Hee!

सुन-सुनू, एक घोंघा, अपनी दोस्त चींटियों से मिलने जा
रहा था। वे उसके ऊपर चढ़ गईं। ही! ही! ही! वे उनके
नीचे आने लगीं। ही! ही! ही!

Word-Meanings : Visiting ( विजिटिंग ) -going to meet someone, मिलने जा रहा था। Climbed ( क्लाइम्ड ) – moved up ऊपर चढ़ गए।

2. Suddenly, great white light crashed
through the clouds, Sunu-sunu
quickly pulled in his head, pulled
in his tail, and sat v-e-r-y still.

एकाएक, बादलों से एक तीव्र सफ़ेद बिजली कडकी।
सुनु-सुनू ने जल्दी से अपना सिर अंदर कर लिया। उसने
अपनी पूँछ अंदर कर ली और बिना हिले-डुले बैठ गया।

word-Meanings : Suddenly ( सड्नली ) -unexpectedly, एकाएक, अचानक। Crashed ( क्रैश्ड ) -broken with a large sound, कड़वी। Pulled ( पुल्ड )–drew onside, अंदर कर लिया।

3. Outside,the sky grew dark and the
crows flew past. Kaa! Kaa! Kaa!
Kaa!
Oh, but where were the ants?
Sunu-sunu stuck out his
feelers and looked for them. They were
hiding under a flower pot.

बाहर आसमान काला पड़ गया तथा कौए पीछे की तरफ
उड़ चले। काँव! काँव! काँव!
ओह! लेकिन चीटियाँ कहाँ थीं? सुनू सुनू ने अपने स्पर्शक
बाहर निकाले तथा उन्हें खोजने लगा। वे एक गमले के
नीचे छुपी हुई थीं।

Word-Meanings : Flew ( फ़्लू ) -moved way, उड़ गए। Hiding ( हाइडिंग ) -getting behind something, छिपना। Feeler ( फ़ीलर ) -a body part of an animal that feels or senses, स्पर्शक।

4. Go home Sunu-sunu, the ants cried
out. Hurry, hurry, your mother
will worry. Sunu-sunu went to his
mother where she sat under a stone
near the well.

घर जाओ, सुन-सुन्! चींटियाँ चिल्लाई! जल्दी करो-जल्दी
करो, तुम्हारी माँ परेशान होगी। सुन-सुन अपनी माँ के
पास चला गया, जो एक कुएँ के नजदीक एक पत्थर
के नीचे बैठी थी।

5. Amma, said Sunu-sunu, theres a
storm in the garden. I heard the
wind blow. Ooo! Ooo! Ooo! Ooo!
I saw trees sway sway. Shay! Shay!

‘अम्मा’ सुनू-सुनू ने कहा, बगीचे में आँधी आई थी। मैंने।
